You need an anti-virus, I recommend AVG. you also need a firewall, I recommend using a router. You also need spyware help, use SpyBot.

Stay away from AVG, it's becomng too controlling. I use AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic, it's a good program and has less false positives than AVG.

i dont recommend hijackthis unless you know how to read registry entries. if you dont then dont do it cause you may f**k up your s**t. some s**t is obvious some s**t is not when using it.

ive never had a firewall in my comp cause i personally think theyre a pain in the ass. never had a virus i couldnt take care of with a safe mode startup virusscan. and ive only had about 2 of those viruses in 10 yrs or so.

You don't use Windows Firewall either? I bet you get a s**t ton of spy ware.

I don't use Windows Firewall either.

AVG has become alot more controlling with the email detection (If you uninstall AVG, you stop receiving email. You have to go back in and reconfigure the email client.) Checking all the sites you visit.

With Vista, Windows firewall/defender is really all you need. That and being a smart user will keep you clean.

If you feel you must, try NOD32. Comes highly recommended in tech circles.

So you have Steve Jobs' d**k in your mouth about to blow a load? Cause that's all I got from your statement.
Yep but at least Steve doesn't give STD's;)

put a condom over your ethernet cable and plug it in for 99.99991921525342 protection from something, you're pretty much f**ked if you have Wireless LAN....

btw, make sure you get the air bubbles out before plugging it in.
