k20 type r i believe is the jdm spec..and k20 type s..is the usdm spec...
some1 correct me if im wrong...but ths y the type s is prolly cheaper..

i found a place that will do the k20 type r for 6500 so thats like 1300 more then the b18 type r but 1000 less then the other people wanted do you think its worth it??? is the potential better then a b18 type r? what do you think it will run as soon as its dropped in

confused...I went to Hmotorsonline.com and looked at how much I would spend to drop the h22a in my rex.

2200.00 H22A Complete Swap (well 2199.00 but yeah..
450.00 Hasport Mounts
350.00 Hasport Axles
----------------------------------------------------
3000.00 Total

300.00 LSD Tranny (optional)
180.00 AC Bracket (optional)
----------------------------------------------------
3480.00 Total

Now I am asking for guidance...not trying to prove anyone wrong or step on anyone's toes...

h swap is not a direct bolt on swaps...therefore u will be getting a lot of other parts...and the costs will add up...
ask jezek is back ..he got a h22 under his hood...

haha read his profile...I never even looked at the profile...guessing you are referring to jezek is back. I have heard of the different available engine swaps. I have enough general info to talk and communicate on what I'd need to put the motherfucker in my car.

and btw...just talked to hasport...in about amonth they'll haev the h series mounts for a direct swap for the 88-91 crx...SO what's wrong with the price I have displayed again/

the link i gave u was from another thread..in which u were looking at the thread starter's profile..not jezek...
Jezek has a h22 in his hatch...ask him and see if the price u have said is good enough...
i believe u will spend more than that...

it might not be...but as far as I can see...it is. I'll talk to Jezek and see what he has to say about it. BTW went into a little more detail with the sales rep...The passenger side mount will neeed to be welded in. Thanks for the help though man...

nah a problem it is not...got some buddies that are lending a hand with the swap and know exactly what they're doing. Hey just out of curiousity in case I am wrong...what do you say I'm going to spend to drop the h22 in?

4-4500...now if ur puttin an older year like 92-95 prolly b cheaper but then u have to get the obd conversion harness...
i would go for a newer year though

the car I'm putting it in (89 crx si) is OBD0 right? and if that is the case is it still better to get a newer year or should I try and get an OBD0 engine as well?

o i was thinkin u prolly putting it in ur 98...
i dunno what obd the 89 is..prolly 0..but i would make sure..
haynes manual...or the stickies on this site...
check specifications too...

right but would I want to stay in the same OBD range or would it be better to convert it? I guess I am asking is there any advantages to having obd0 over obd1 or over obd2?
