just finished up the lsvtec swap in my brothers hatch. was throwing two codes right away but got those fixed and it was running fine so it seemed. took it out to drive it around and it sputters and loses power at random times. car is throwing no CEL's and idles fine its just when you drive it it acts like its cutting the fuel or losing spark or something. this a freshly built lsvtec. any help would be appreciated

thanks for the help! we have done all that already, when it didnt sputter, it would go in vtec and the kick out and wouldnt accelerate like it was hitting rev limiter but it wouldnt be hitting rev limiter in 3rd gear at 60mph an i didnt think it would even go in vtec if it was in limp mode
it randomly kicks in vtec?
sounds like some bad wiring, and you need to set your TPS, and check the timing...
wiring is fine. right after the swap it was throwing a code for the vtec spool solenoid and the IACV. it was idling like s**t but that was because the IACV. it would crossover into vtec but then immediately pop fall out because of the CEL for that solenoid. after we fixed both of the CEL's it idles fine but it runs like s**t when you try to drive it, almost acts like it cutting the fuel for some reason. its not throwing any CEL at all right now. we'll screw with it some more tonight and see if we can figure it out
