I want to throw in a mini swap, any ideas on what swap would be best for a 1996 civic sedan. I have the stock d16y7 non v. But I want to go vtec should I do a whole swap or just change the top block and intake mani?

^ Yep. I did a mini-me swap, and it left me unsatisfied. Vtec on D-series motors is a let down. I swapped to a non-vtec B18, but was much better than the mini-me.

Mini-me on a d-series is the most over rated "upgrade" done. Waste of time and money in my opinion. Unless of course, you get the stuff for free then why not.

Put it this way... I had to wire up a vtec light - that was the only way I could tell vtec was engaging because I couldn't feel it.

The ONLY noticeable difference for me was going up a hill... it didn't suck as bad
