Temperature Gauge Not Working Need Help Asap

alright guys what the title say i have a 92 civic hatch with a jdm b18c everytime i drive the car it takes at least 40 minutes to raise the temperature gauge on normal. do you guys think it's the thermostat if so can you guys post a link of a diy on this topic. thank you for reading this

if it gets up to tempature and stays about in the middle then you need a new thermostat yours is probley stuck open if it takes awhile to warm up i have the same engine and mine does teh same thing

my problem is min stays on cold all the time

Unplug the 1-wire temp sending unit below the distributor, ground the sending unit connector wire to the engine, and turn the key to ON(II). Does the needle on the dash temp gauge now rise? if so, replace the sending unit.
