Thanks guys. I am just another die hard-hard car guy who has much love for photography as well.

As for my event photography, I hardly make any money on it. I have a paid feature in one of the magazines out there but the money is relatively petty, especially when many magazines are going under and when everybody has a DSLR camera now.

The amount work and time I put into this - The cost of my gear, waking up at 5:30 am on Saturday mornings for the exotic meet, gas, reviewing and process 500+ pictures per shoot, uploading them, and manually writing the HTML code for my blog - FAR exceeds the money that can ever be earned. I can make alot more getting a part time job instead or being a back-up wedding photographer or something.

Needless to say, I do it out of passion and I do enjoy reading the discussions of the cars that I post up. All of the responses go straight to my G1 phone

I suggest those items - keyword suggest ;) - and they are on my wish list but my actual equipment list is on top of my blog. I have some nice glass but nothing crazy like a 16-35L or a 600L on the wish list. My main setup is a XTi and a Tokina 12-24mm f/4.

Anyhow new from this weekend

nice shots of a nice beamsicle dude. i just looked at what you have for lenses. i hear nothing but good things about the tokina 12-24. i'm looking at getting a 5d to compliment the 40D so i dont know if the tokina would be a good choice seeing as its a digital only. i assume you dont use the 100-400L much haha. pos some pictures done by the dust pump man!
