Took zc block and head apart

Took my ZC to the machine shop guy told me the cams were from a b16 and unless i heard him wrong he said the head was from a b16. Is that possible?

no because a B-head wont fit on a D block but B-series parts fit the zc head

yes the cams GEARS can be from a b series motor.....but not the head itself.....a b series head will not fit on a d series block

I didn't think so it must have just been the cams were b16. the guy i got it from said the bottom end was rebuilt but it looks like s**t so im gonna rebuild it again.

B series cams are wider the ZC, soo...no cams CANNOT be B16
even if they were the right length, they wont work because of the 3 lobs for each cylinder due to Vtec

OP, do the cams have a stamp PG7 or PM7 on them

Im not sure i would look but there at the machine shop with the head.

Well I have never dealt with a machine shop before and a tech i work with said this guy does good work.

"SAID"..... its up to you but i would prefer to do all my work so i know its done right or if something goes wrong i can blame mself and not say i wish i would have done it myself lol
