Valve Cover

m changing valve cover, do i put the new gasket on the valve cover or the engine?
what kind of silicone should i use? Orange or gray? How much do you put on? Do you put on silicone between the gasket and cover or between gasket and engine or both? Do you have to use the kind for sencer safe?
How much torque for a 97 civic 1.5
Do you criss cross tighten the bolts? What manner?
Is the pvc on my model located on the valve cover?
Do they still adjust valves or are they automatic adjusted?
Does anyone know excatly how many bolts are on the valve cover, it looks like i have bolts missing from 2 holes, just had timming belt put on 6 months ago, looks like new threads, shiney, caint tell wheathe it was supposed to have a bolt in it or not.
Would sure appreciate info.

There is a trace out in the bottom of the valve cover for the gasket
Silicon between the gasket and the valve cover
just a few dots in places and smear it through the crease

For the motor and bolt qs i dont know because i did it on my b16

Do a criss cross on the bolts to tighten them....They will only go so tight then will stop...
Valve need to be adjusted,but check them might not need to be changed.....There isn`t any bolts,just nuts should be like 7 6mm nuts....1 bolt is to hold down for a spark plug wire bracket.....Then 7 rubber grommets and nuts....
