Now that I think about it, it really wasn't a very good idea to put an option for no VIP after all. What does it matter to the people that won't be in there? No real reason for them to be voting on something they won't be in anyway. Skews the results, like Todd mentioned earlier.

exactly!!! besides, i'm not using CC for pr0n... i've plenty of other resources for that

whether it's 6 months or 8 months... the 500 mark seems to be the preference. with the lounge/whoring posts not counting, i think that a noob hitting the 500 mark will take at least that amount of time anyways (hopefully asking "new" questions, and hopefully doing their best to answer some questions).

some people ask for VIP to be dealt away with... jay jay the owner of the site also shares the view that for the poll to be fair.. it has to represent all members.. and it will not skew the results.. heres why..people are voting how they feel... when it goes down to to choices.. they will more than likely NOT include get rid of it (look at the voting) still could win.. but if the majority want that.. than thats what they want... i dont want that.. but what can you do...

I didn't realize there was anything wrong with VIP in the past. OF course now I can't open it because I don't have enough posts, which seem to have dropped over 100 in the past week.

I voted for 12 months and 200 posts. VIP is a privilege that should be earned. For everyone who thinks that VIP is just porn.. you're wrong. It's also a place where members can ask questions that they don't want everyone to know about, or where they can share things important in their lives ex. I'm going to be a father.. stuff like that. It's a private section for the members who all know eachother and have become friends.

u don't want every1 knowing ur business take it to pm's...
staying on a site for 12 months and only making 200 posts in that 12 months shows in no way ur commitment to the site...u'll sign up with club civic...posts 10,15 times a month and wait for the end of the year for ur privilleges is jus stupid imo...
it encourages people to sign up and not contribute....contribution is more of importance to me than length..and as for whore posts..thats why we have mods who should take care of the whore posts so that the post count will not be deceiving..and since lounge posts don;t count at all anymore it'll be less deceiving than before....

If VIP lounge is a privilege then I think that the post count for selling on CC needs to go up as well.

And the fact that lounge posts don't count anymore will simply make people whore more in other threads to get their counts higher. There's only so many times a question about changing a rotor can be answered making a 500 post count really take a long time. It's important to contribute, but I think the line is being drawn too far. I've been on here for 6 months and try to answer and help as much as I can, and I only have 217.

you do realize there are more areas besides engine tech? events/meets....members rides....video gallery....photoshop.....

even without lounge posts counting, its not hard to get your post count up if your so worried about it

when the word "contribution" is posed I usually think of answering questions, and most questions are in the tech pages. That's just my line of thought. I'm not so worried about my count, I just miss having VIP.

no offense... but welcome to last week... there willl NOT be whoring in the other sections.. it will not be tolerated (see the forum rules section) the idea is that lounge posts not counting =' more freedom in the lounge and more strict in the other sections.. there were too many threads going to s**t adn turning into flame wars... so lounge posts were taken away... the lounge is off topic chat.. and thats what it counts as.. the only problem removing them was the effect it had on VIP... so i made this poll... so the what the majority of club civic could decide what THEY wanted...

look at the why jdm thread.. or the post your drop thread... im generally in front of the computer for 4 to 10 hours a day.. so yeah ive been pretty much keep ing an eye on it... and there has been less.. there will always be whoring.. under ANY system... but it can be controlled... unless people intentionally try to prove something and go on whoring sprees.. those members will be removed like any other troll... again.. youve voiced your opinion.. ive addressed it COMPLETELY.. and made a poll to deal with it.. nothing more you can do than that... feel free to reply to this.. but let not whore this thread out.. ok..
