Vtec Malfunction Help!!

My Check Engine Light Came On After I Hit My Revlimitor In 4th And It Tripped The Cel And I Got The Code And It Say Vtec Malfunction Help !!

check your oil level, sometimes a CEL will come on just for the oil being a bit low, does vtec still engage if you rev it up? If it doesn't engage then you prob just need a new solenoid, i don't think they are very expensive.

i dont hit vtec in 1st but in the rest of the gears i do???

Never herd of that happening but to check your solenoid just disconnect the single wire clip going to your solenoid and run positive power to it and ground anywhere on the solenoid it self you should hear a little click if not just by a new one as stated earlier
