well i've searched the web, i've been to ht, so now i'm here :P

i know i should've changed it when i did my timing belt, now that my water pump broke i regret not even though i didn't know i should've done it then but, is there a way i don't have to do all that work to get it off and on? i mean i was thinking why can't i just take the timing belt covers off the alt belt and just unbolt it put the new one in and then put it back in time and go on my merry way?

whoops it's a z6

believe once the cover's off, then can loosen the tensioner, take off the pump. Unless was changed recently, might as well chnge the timing belt as well, since it'll be loosened and accessible
