Does your intake manifold and EGR system look different from the DX that I just posted? How about the diagrams below? Is this how your DX engine bay is organized?

those are definetly more close to home =)

so lets say i put valve (a) bak on the car and still hat probs. using those 3 diagrams what do i look towards or do 1st

i just made sure all hoses were goin to right place. so far good

but the charcoal canister part is diff. it has the 7 hose. and 2 red fabric type hoses

something else ive been wondering about. someone told me once the cel comes on it should stay on.

il explain

if i go outside. get in turn on . no cel.
i drive around the block...no cel.
i drive about 5 min sometimes more sometimes less.
from 3-10 min of driving

then the cel comes on.
i pull over chek codes


but if i turn car off and bak on cel dissapears till again 3-10 min of driving

just throwing that out there. cuz someone told me it should remain solid at startup

and if that is a problem i did check under the hood fuses.
but i also thought maybe my ecu is at fault
which leads me to think maybe the ecu isnt giving my egr sensor or w.e the proper if any power at all.

just a lone noobs thought

That's not abnormal CEL behavior.

And the ECU is almost always considered last after other components are ruled out.

Carefully check all of the EGR system vacuum hoses for leaks or clogging. Then do the electrical troubleshooting described in the diagrams.

well i carfuly went down all the hoses every thing seemed in order. 21 had a big rip. but on tip. i cut off and put bak on. it wuznt the problem. ummm like i mentioned b4. the 2 hoses out of "charcoal canister" wear red and thick fabric type. thats correct right?

I don't know.

In addition to inspecting each vacuum hose for damage and holes, you also need to remove them and check whether they are clogged.

some wear very stingy and didn't wanna b removed lol. how much are all new hoses just in case i tear em?

or tips 4 removal

alright this morning i removed all egr system vacuum hoses.
checked them all closely .
cleaned out
and replaced.

then put valve (a) on after overnight cleansing.

i drove around...5 min
cel light.

i pull over...code 1 only

i tiink " yes! finaly!"

i take my gf out and i explain and hav her check while i drive
again only code 1

(still happy)

its nighttime now and im taking her home and i hav her check one last time.

code 1 AND 12 again



?????

today i tried the exzact match valve.
same results only code 1
then after prolongd driving code 12 and 1


side discovery...my oxy sensor wire has been cut so code 1 should no longer b an issue

but 12 remains
