I am building a poorman's swap (b16 head/gsr block) and I was just wondering which ECU would be the best to use for this swap? Also, I got an AFPR and I wanted to kno if a VAFC would be needed. I am just getting bolt ons but it does have b16 pistons. Thanks in advance for the help!

I'm getting a chipped ecu from www.phearable.net, it's a little spendy but you tell them what your engine is, what mods you have, and they tailor it specifically for you setup for optimum power.

chipped p06 is the samething as a chipped p28, you just need to find out if its been modified for vtec or not

so a chipped p06 or a chipped p28 would work for my setup? oh also i was wondering, my civic is a 97 cx and the motor that is going in is obd2 (b16a2 head) so do i need a jumper harness or anything to use those ECUs?

I think he needs to specify which harness he is using.

If he is modifying the 97 harness he needs a OBD2A to OBD1 conversion harness.

If he uses a 99-00 harness, then he needs an OBD2B to OBD1 conversion harness.

But your best bet is a chipped P28 ecu.. a chipped P06 that is setup to function as a P28 will work as well.
