is needed for an LS with an LS tranny (auto or manual? does it make a difference?) going into a 98 HX (that currently has a d16 with a CVT)?

i haven't seen this specific question asked (in regards to the CVT issue) or answered before and i know that the hx's tranny can be a weird animal.

I just wanna be sure before i start up on this project. I'd hate to get the D-series out and not have the correct parts.

any help would be greatly appreciated! especially from somebody with personal experience...(ie: not "my brother knows this guy who just dropped an ls in there but i can't remember if it was an hx or a dx")

i need specificity or experience if possible. thanks guys! i can't remember but i think highwaystar has an hx with an ls but i can't remember.

Yeah the y7/y8 bracket is too long and only one bolt will fit. I know this because this is where my car currently stands lol. My motor sways, gotta be super smooth on teh shifting.
