ok here it is i have a 99 civic coupe my vin says ej8 but every one calls it an ek isent the ek a hatch i was just wondering :?: :wtf:

Everyone says EK as a generic term for all 96-00 USDM Civic's. EJ is the technical term but when you go to websites to buy parts, 96-00 civics are listed as "EK"'s. It's just the way it is so everyone can sound cool.

It just makes it easier then getting all technical with terms. Easier than saying EJ6, EJ7, EJ8, EJ1, etc etc.

I say EK to make things simple.
