New guy here. Had a wierd thing happen yesterday. Stopped at a stop light yesterday and the car just stalled. Took 3 light changes to get it to start again. Once started it stalled a few times..i pulled over and it started to idle fine but it wouldnt go over 5 mph. So i made home and let the car sit for a hour and went out and it fired right up and i drove it a few blocks and it drove fine.

My buddy scanned it and it had a p1361 code (crank position sensor)? It also had the code for front o2 sensor which i knew about the engine light wasnt on but is now.

So my question is could the crankshaft position sensor cause a issue like this?

Oh yeah it was hot car was running normal temp. The cars a 2001 civic single overhead cam..

Thanks for any help i can get.

Yes, I would check the wires to it and see if they are loose or damaged.

Then get back to us

Crank Position Sensor would definitely cause a no start.
