wierd sounds...tranny?

when im parked in neutral and i let go of the clutch it kinda sounds the wheel of fortune (or the price is right) and then when im in gear with the clutch in or out rolling i get the same sound

Throwout bearing

that's what my car is doing also. how much would it cost to replace the throwout bearing? or if i do it, how difficult would it be?

Its fairly simple to change. Just unbolt the trans and remove the old bearing and put the new one in. Might as well change the clutch while your there though. If the bearing is going bad, then the clutch is soon to come.

The throwout beaing will make that noise too. The way to tell if ite the throwout bearing is when you have it out, simply see if theres any play or if it makes noise when you spin it.

...now ill try it out .... but first gotta save some money im broke

my isb went out as well and it made that noise
