Window Molding Piece Removal

As you can tell from this picture, I need to replace this piece:




I'm wondering how it comes off. Does the door panel have to be removed first? If anyone who has replaced this piece can explain how they did it, it would be greatly appreciated it. Thanks in advance.

if i remember it just pulls up... roll the window down and get a plastic pry bar and pry from the outside at on of the ends and it should pop up

arnt there clips that hold it in place? if i were you to be on the safe side i would take off the door panel and just pop the clips out. My buddy just picked off that paint so it looks like chrome, looks pretty cool IMO

Just strip off the stuff and repaint it.

It just pulls off. (straight up) All you need to do is strip it like EKlB said and repaint.
