hey man dont sweat. you have a short somewhere for sure if you put a fuse in and it pops. first off take your cd player out and check the wirring and make sure nothings frayed or uncovered, s**t like this happened to my friend cause he likes to use electrical tape on decks when decks can get hot, use wire nuts. now you said it happened when your hood flew up (lol) sorry same thing happened to my friend. check the fuses up front in the engine bay, pretty sure they dont affect interior but its worth a shot. for the tail lights im not sure the only thing i can say is where ever you have lights out just look for shorts. is there any other after market electronic parts you have on there?
i checked the deck wires and i didnt see anything frayed or uncovered. i checked the engine bay but doesn't seem like any of those fuses are popped. i will double check the deck again.

Check the wires provably some are making the wrong contact or a relay that is not functioning right.

This is what happen to me one of the wires got lose and it was touching ground so my lights where turning off and then back. Know I having a problem with my alarm or some electrical problem because the only thing that is turning on is the fan and the SRS light.

good luck

my friend didnt have his hood latched all the way so the hood flew up and smashed the windshield and everything. ill give you a tip, if you have a aftermarket hood always install hood pins right away, there a sure way to keep the hood down its a double lock. if you get a cf hood be very very very carefull drilly the holes go slow take your time, or else it will crack. otherwise let a shop do it its cheap!!!!!

he's arcing/grounding out his wires. need bigger fuse and check wiring to make sure nothing is exposed.

got it, there was 1 partly exposed wire, i didn't fully clip it off... does anyone have the wiring diagram for a 92 hatch, would it be the same wires as a 94 del sol, or would they have used different coloured wires?

turn your headlights on and off (quick), sometimes go halfway. Its something to do with that signal lever. I have the same problem. Do it until the tail lights work. BTW, let me know if it works for you.

ok everyone my integra did this after i put in a deck

its probably your ILLUMINATON LEAD. This is what makes your stock stereo dim with the dimmer for interior lights, but most aftermarket decks only have one setting, so theres nowhere to plug it in

good luck. Mine wasnt taped off and was hitting my frame and shorting out.

mine was some other random wire in the dash hittin. i cut it clean, taped it off, and replaced the fuse. it works good now.

What you need to do is go to radio shack or sears and buy a cheap multimeter. The do a continuity test hook one lead to ground and then probe the light wires for ground (including the one behind your radio). If you have a light socket that has two grounds in it then you have a short in one of those wires and you need to trace that wire and patch it or run a new one. My guess would be that a wire may have gotten pinched when your hood flew up. Also the wires behind your cd player should all be capped off. Look for an orange or orange with white stripe (if a harness was used). If that wire is touching ground that will cause your fuse to blow.

If you do take it to a shop take it to one that specializes in car electrical, mechanics don't know jack when it comes to wiring. (At least all the one's I've dealt with)
