okay then the machine shop i took my head to fudge me over didn't adjusted the valves so they bent,,i have a y7 head n planing on installing it this weekend...all i know is i should keep the cam n get a y7 timing belt..the head gasket needs to be changed to a y7 or a y8 gasket for more compression and everything else should fit...
only concern is if i'm going to replacethe timing belt i have to get a new water pump?

Yes get a new water pump. If u leave it in I guarantee it'll piss you off when it goes bad and you have to go back in there again to replace it. U generally change the 2 together

true since the y7 has less teeth..or bi versal...i shouldn't be concern about the crank shaft since the timing belt is placed there....so i can use the same dizzy same manifolds and same ECU.... since im not going vtec....

Just curious if you have to switch the head anyway why not go with a vtec 1.
