I don't know about you guys, but a lot of my time spent on the computer is surfing the internet. Random sites, youtube, here, Honda-Tech, googling random s**t to read, msn, etc. And all the time, I read those links at the side saying, "click here to learn how to make $1000/day!" and s**t like that. The referral stuff where you sign up for something or pay for something for a particular company and you make a portion of what they make in return for spreading the word about them.

I've always wondered if that s**t actually works. My friend used to have a website and he had this referral program through eBay where he got like $0.10 every time someone bid on an auction by going to eBay through one of his links. I don't think he ever got it working but it sounded like a cool idea.

I have heard of them, i paid no attention to them because i figured it was a scam or something of that sort. if your friend had continued that .10 deal on ebay that could add up....

I believe he is talking about referral programs where companies pay out for hit referrals to their websites when you offer a redirect. Those are completely legit, they give you a code to put in your links and pay out based on hits and sign ups.

I coded a porn website based on this a couple years back but never ended up putting it up. These things work, but you need to get a lot of hits to make any significant amount of money off of them.

haha my brother does those referrals on Rewards1.com.....its where he does surveys....and every survey he gets like a buck or 2....but he has a program that skips thru the survey so he does a BUNCH of them....

hes made quite a bit of money....some where around 300 bucks so far.....hes bought a lot of 360 games.....a lot of xbox live time....1 months....3 months....i think he has enough right now to actually buy a xbox 360.....
