I've heard that if you swap the pistons from a dohc into a d16a6 that it will give you higher compression. How true is that and is it worth doing. I have my old zc and thinking about throwing the pistons from it into my brothers a6. I have to change the head gasket anyway so why not? Has anyone done this or know someone who has? I'd appreciate all the input you guys have, thanks.

so does anyone know about the zc rods? Do I have to use those along with the pistons or do I just use the a6 rods with the zc pistons?

have seen many times that the rods to use for a DOHC ZC if you go aftermarket were the z6 rods, so i guess i'd have to assume the same in thinking that you'd be able to use teh zc rods in a z6.

just make sure you do a real intense search before you take my word, i'm pretty sure of what i said though, i remember when i was going to build my zc after i had bent that rod, and only thing i could find was that the z6 rods were the same dimensions all the way around, taht and being that you can use the rod and piston set in another d shoudl mean you'll be ok.
