How To: Change Stock Gauge Cluster Bulbs 96-00 Civics.

Hmm...I just stopped by Kragen and looked at the #24 bulbs. They look just a bit too big to me. I bought a set of #74's because I want to try something new in my cluster, and they're the same size as the bulbs that I took out...but if #24's fit, so be it.

    OEM 99-00 raybrig foglight wiring

A few months old, and I'm sure you may have figured it out by now, but if you weren't satisfied with the answers in the post mentioned above this one, go back to that thread and read my response. The original topic explained how to wire the fogs to turn on with your parking lights. I give a tip...

OFFICIAL DIY: Wire 99-00 OEM Fog Lights /w Parking Lights

I know this is quite an old thread, but I thought I'd answer this question since I currently have my fogs wired this way. Because the fogs use a relay to turn on, you basically just need a second 12V source that's independent of the lights. I used the one that goes into the back of my head unit...

noob question---what would you do performance wise to an automatic 2000 honda civic

Why do you guys choose to be total dicks sometimes? The guy came here to ask advice on how to make his existing platform faster, regardless of the folly in his decision to go with it.

Does that really spread the light more or just diffuse the beam instead?

Just finished gauge cluster LED conversion!

Although this is a bit off-topic, I just thought I'd add that you want to be careful not to over-tighten the screws that connect the gauges to the cluster housing when you are putting them back in. You may snap one of the thin copper wires like I did. I ended up having to solder it back...

How To: Change Stock Gauge Cluster Bulbs 96-00 Civics.

This actually depends on your cluster. If you have a tachometer, like the one described here, he's referring to the three other #74 bulbs. Using the original image, I have marked off the bulbs for you: For those of you without the tach:

Speedometer Jumps to 20mph at Idle

I do know its entire history, thus making the rest of your argument moot. I even put the "problem" head in my old speedo, and the problem was still there even after performing your "tension solution", albeit not as "professionally" as you described. Anyhow, as kaepos pointed out, I did...

Speedometer Jumps to 20mph at Idle

@BSD, Take some of your own advice. You assumed the needles had been removed prior to existence of the problem, when in fact they never were. Although I may have come off a bit callous in the initial lines in my first response to your post, I was still thankful for the information, as it may...

Speedometer Jumps to 20mph at Idle

Interesting reply. It almost looks like a copy/paste or a caps-lock rip of many threads I read before posting my questions(s), which you apparently didn't read thoroughly. Thank you for the info, but this does not apply. Had you read my post thoroughly, you would have realized that (1) my old...

Speedometer Jumps to 20mph at Idle

Thanks for the link, ZB. I removed the board and it looks like all the connectors are okay. Unfortunately, it will have to wait until tomorrow evening before I can swap out the two clusters again. In case this doesn't work, does anyone else have any suggestions, especially considering the...

Speedometer Jumps to 20mph at Idle

Okay, I've just spent the past hour searching for old posts to this problem, and the closest to an answer I found was in a thread from back in 2007 (http://www.clubcivic.com/board/showpost.php?p=2105465&postcount=1). Instead of reviving what looks like an abandoned thread, I figured people would...

    Speedo cluster swaps

RSBOY: Yes you can. On the back of the cluster will be four screws that hold and connect the speedometer to the cluster. Remove these four screws to remove the speedometer. Drop your old one in, and put the four screws back in. Voila!

Just finished gauge cluster LED conversion!

Great DIY write-up. I don't mean to bump an old thread, but I'm curious how the OP (or anyone else who's attempted this) got the LED's through the rubber tubing. I picked up an 8' pack of airline tubing (air hoses for aquariums) at Walmart. I'm thinking of heating the leads of the LED's, but I'm...

    Opinions on Lowering Options

I don't mind a stiff ride either, but if I can get a more comfortable setup for a similar price, I would probably rather go with that since I drive over 100 miles a day with carpoolers. I'm still hoping for feedback on the overall argument for ground effects vs full coilovers, though...

    Question about motor mounts

I think her point is she knows it's going to be a bit of a hassle, but if there are any detrimental effects for re-using them after pressing them. I'm sorry, but I don't have an answer, but if I had to suggest anything, I'd buy new ones as well. I'm not a fan of reusing worn/damaged parts...

    Opinions on Lowering Options

Okay, I've looked around and tried to read up as much as I could about lowering my 99 Civic Coupe, and what I have come to grips with is that I will need something adjustable since I know I will be getting new wheels in the near future (not sure what size yet) and don't want to be stuck with one...
