you have the original shifter arm though. So yours sits lower than mine. I cant make mine go as low as yours if I wanted to even with my modified height adjustment piece. 1st, 3rd, 5th gear would hit the dash with the mid level adjustment. I might send you some pics to show you what i mean.
I know exactly what your talking about.

hahaha! enjoy!

Sooooooooooo, things can't stay nice forever...that would be ridiculous. Since I don't have a splatter shield, I'm just cruising on the highway and then i'm smoking, a lot!!! Acceleration starts to get worse as the car acts as if it's out of gear or the clutch is pressed in when it isn't...so i'm losing trans fluid. A minor maintenance thing I should have addressed before the swap. oh well.

Got both seals just in case. Only the passenger side was leaking.

Upon going under the hood to check out the leak, I noticed a nice little hole in my clutch fork boot.

Pop off the flywheel inspection cover, and I see plenty nicks in the flywheel. fun fun.

Replaced the trans seals last night, didn't take pics because "ain't nobody got time fuh dat". Still unsure as to what chewed up my flywheel.

Hahaha I know right. Build it, break it, do it again.
I'm sure there are better ways to spend your new-found post-build extra time than sabotaging yourself ;-)

Lol. The fluid seals are a normal maintenance issue I didn't bother wirh since it came from hmotors and 99% of things dont even need tk be touched. The flywheel stuff is a mystery though. Oh well.

No, no tracking number but it was only a couple days from hmotors to the freight delivery service. The deliverer calls and schedules a date and time with you to have it delivered.

Today I finally got around to dropping my transmission to see what's going on inside since I was leaking trans fluid pretty badly.

Something isn't normal here...

a lovely little window and a tiny wolverine has been clawing around inside

the culprit, the stupid bearing. Top and bottom both snapped off.

downtime for the coupe. Im a sad panda.

Ouch.. I have never seen that. I'd be investigating further for another culprit as the throwout bearing may be a symptom of an additional problem, because unless the bearing is locked up, there shouldn't be enough force on those tabs to break them like that.

As for the hole in the transmission, it doesn't look too terribly bad.... as far as holes in transmissions go. It shouldn't be too difficult to split the case and patch the hole.

OOo wow. LOL. Scoring just the bell housing is gonna suck. I had issues with mine and couldnt find anyone selling JUST the trans case so....straight to honda I went. Sucker is expensive and it came without any bearings =(

I had a nut come off my clutch master cylinder not too long back and it clearly was the start of these problems. I don't bother to post everything online. The unseen damage was the ends breaking on the throwout bearing. I had a change in pedal feel that I was investigating before this whole happened. When the nut came off, there was a hard pedal feel near the floor ( I had to drive the car at the time because I was already on the road when it happened) I was probably breaking those bearing ends at that point. After no longer feeling the hard point in the pedal, the next day I had a soft pedal. Started with checking for air in the line, the next morning revealed a leak.

Not much of a mystery.

I guess is funny, but I don't need a trans case. The k series ones are nationally back ordered anyway. If I couldn't repair the trans, I was going to buy another 6 speed and save my 1st through 5th gears as backups.
