Cv axle spindle nut size???

    I use a 1 1/4" 1/2" drive socket for those nuts. i dont know what the correct metric conversion is. Once you get that big, it doesnt matter.

    22mm prolly... But can't you just go find out what size it is by testing to see what socket fits?

    yea i was seeing if anyone knew off hand so i can just go buy the socket ya know, i'll prob end up having to do that

    22mm? MUCH too small. its between 31mm-35mm i believe. I use a 1 1/4" socket.

    Can't do much on a Honda without at least a 10,12,17,19, or 22mm socket.

    Isn't he talking about the lock nut on the end of the cv axles?

    My bad I was thinking thread pitch 22x1.5, but to get the nut off its a 27mm.

    ^^^ B series axles in my civic (im pretty sure d series and b series are same nut size)

    ok i've got answers so far of 32mm, 31mm or a 1 1/4 which one is it??? :what: i know 22mm def isn't it, i have all the rest, i just don't feel like taking off my wheel in the dark w/ no light to find this out

    well mathmaticaly 1 1/4" = 31.5mm so theres your answer. i believe jj nailed it on the head

    i use 32 and everyone i know uses 32 this is a japanese car and they use the meteric system if it was a ford mustang then i would say things in inches :o)

    actually, on the mid 80's up mustangs (and all american cars) most everything is metric.
    because metric > sae

    it was a joke i have no idea i would just assume american cars would measure things by inches since america does not follow the metric system but on another note if your used sae and theres a gap and your using a impact gun it could damage the socket. but i have done it befor

    Damn 32mm!? I don't have anything bigger than 29mm and Ive had take off the nut on several Civics.
