Definition of a rice car?

Can someone please let me know what exactly everyone mean when they speak of a rice car?

Rice refers to Japanese car's cause It's said that Japanese people eat rice, just as people say african americans with chicken, and italians with spegetti, pretty much isn't a good thing to be called rice, riced out, ricer, etc.

A lot of domestic owners and promoters will tell you a ricer is anyone who modifies a 4 cylinder car. When you hear us civic owners or most other import owners speak of rice, we generally mean a car that is gaudy, stupid looking, or not put together well. It's really a mentality. A true ricer thinks they are king s**t, and that their pep boys APC universal spoiler and stickers give them +50 HP, even though they drive a slow piece of s**t.

i like chrome rims too i have some on my honda and im considered rice... but i also have the altezzas too but thinkin about changin back to stockies
