the one you see complete is a k24a4, that's going to go in the car until i get the k24a1 (the longblock, it's on the right side in that pic) moderate build, i'm going to be doing the frankenstein setup on that engine.

i bought both engines because i really want to see this car on the road, and a stock k24a4 will give me a good amount of power as it is - i saw someone on k20a.org with the same setup do 13.6 1/4 mile on the stock k24a4 engine. even with this motor, the car should be fun to drive, i can't wait to finish that frank setup though.

i got the HARDEST part of this build done, the engine bay:

before paint:

after (also sprayed my new oem bumper):

next is brake tuck, going to tuck the k24 harness, and am in the process of cleaning and respraying with black paint EVERY suspension piece, one by one. you can probably see some parts on the floor.

i actually did shave the bay, i just didn't go all out, i shaved the brake lines, i'm going to route the brake lines through the cabin. i didn't shave all the holes, just because i might need them for something, eventually, but i covered up a lot of holes that were there before. a lot of the holes i left out there you won't see once the motor is in.

here's a pic, of an engine bay, without any holes shaved:

Damn....when I get more money I'm doing a complete tear down and rebuild.

Awesome man.....I would love to do things myself on my car, but I don't have any freaken tools.

It's pretty fun working on cars, if you know what your doing....but sometimes it's a pain in the ass.

yeah, loads of fun, i used what i learned on my 01 coupe towards this build. buy tools, doing it yourself is more rewarding then having some one else do it.

the one on the left is from an element, the one on the right is from a crv, the crv is getting built, but the element motor is going in, just to get the car running.
