If you take the time to read this it is going to be my gas sipper for work no performance mods only visual (wheels and lowering it only no other crap) and stereo comps as soon as I figure out what I want to get thinking 1 12 btl or maybe 2 like I said havent decided. My only advice is to search, before asking questions cause I can almost guarantee its here to answer your questions.

but first and formost, before "modding" your car, make sure it's 100% in GREAT working order (unless your swapping immediately) fluid change, belt and gasket replacements, leak fix, wire and dizzy just make sure your car is 100% before wheels and suspension and all the good stuff

BTW as for making sure its in good running condition I changed
rotors and pads
rear shoes
cleaned IACV
cleaned throttle body
there were no leaks runs and drives like a champ all thats left to do mechanically is the struts which I will change with stock then get a set of coil overs with time.
