Contest Theme - Abandoned Structures

Registrations Due By: February 14th, 2012

Current Number of Registered Contestants: 5

Rules

• Your photograph must follow the theme in some way.
• The image can be altered in Photoshop, but keep it minimal as possible.
• If applicable, you must have both the original and altered version of the photo you wish to submit.
• Only ONE photo can be submitted.
• If you decide to change your registered photo, do so at least 24-48 hours in advance from the end of the registration due date.

Picture Editing Regulations

• Adjusting levels is okay. Brightness, contrast, color, etc.
• No chopping in/out objects. Keep the picture original.
• Cropping is allowed.
• No watermarks or borders

Please do not post up your picture!
I will delete the post and you will be disqualified!!!!





How to ENTER your photo
All entree's must be hosted by ImageShack.us

All entry's must be sent to JohnS. via PM. Images must be re-sized to a maximum of 900 pixels wide and 750 pixels high.

Title your message, "Photography Contest Entry" and provide the following:

• Original unaltered photo
• (If applicable) Altered photo

Yes, you MUST submit the original unaltered photo along with the edited version if you have an edited version!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!




Please use either of the following links when submitting your photo.

Please do not identify your photo or any other photo. They should stay strictly anonymous until the winner is revealed.


Voting will start shortly after entree applications are no longer being received and will end 14 days later.


You are allowed to vote for your own picture but no form of cheating will be tolerated. This basically means do not PM people asking them to vote for you or ask people to sign up on the board to vote for you. If any sort of cheating seems to be taking place, it will be investigated and may end up disqualifying you from the contest!!!!!!!

I'm hoping more than 1 person is considering 9 people (1 including me) voted for a theme....4 of which voted for this one in particular.....

I think I already have my entry. I'm gonna drive around some more and see if anything else is availabe. We don't have much of this around me (at least AFAIK). I'm sure as hell not driving into the city lol.

There's not really any abandoned buildings around here, but it's nice this weekend so maybe if I get a chance to go for a drive, I'll take my camera and phone and snap a few and see if I want to jump on this one.

I don't plan on setting a cap for the number of contestants. The way I see it, the more, the merrier!

Ill do one in teh next day or two cause we have some stuff around here, but its raining plus i have to drive around and pick what i want to take... and just a thought, can it be an abandoned one that is falling down or like a still fully standing one only.

As long as its abandoned, that's all that matters. House, store, warehouse, shed, whatever.

Yep, they don't have abandoned buildings where I live... If it gets abandoned, it gets knocked down. Was thinking about trying to enter one of these, but I guess I'll wait til next time.
