This isnt a mitsu fourm but this is where i ask my eg questions so.

I just bought a 95 eclipse gs ( for my gf )
It has 2 bad valves and broke timing belt and ten pulley.
I paid 350$ from a stupid hill billy whos daugther tore it up.

The motor has 88,000 miles on it, and been sitting for the past year.

While i got it broken down, should i replace the piston rings if so should i get it re-sleeved at the same time or will OEM rings still work correctly?

if your going to tear it down, just do a complete rebuild.

Well this car isnt going to be raced or anything, i dont really want to dump that much money into this car.

Just wanted it to run O.o

Also why is it auto stores dont sell intake valves for this car ?

How? Ive priced the things i needed to get it running, The internals are fine i just was curious if i wanted to put new rings on it, would it have to be re-sleeved, The rings are still good and it held compression but i was just doing preventative maint.

What I'm saying is, it will be cheaper to buy a used engine then it would be to do a rebuild.
