something would have to be seriously screwed up w/ your frame for a difference of 1-1.5in in drop. Most frame machines deal in MMs and they allow anywhere +/- 3mm from manufactures spec to be safe and 1-1.5in is 25-38mm. Plus if the frame was that messed up the a,b,c pillar would look "odd", glass wouldn't fit properly, your door would line up like ass.
I still say shock because from the details you gave us that is the only variable that is most likely not consistent.
