Thought some people who frequent the FI forum might enjoy this more than in the regular build thread section. This is our 2011 "true street" D2B car... enjoy :D

For those that followed last years build, we were able to run a 9.65 @ 153.8mph before the block split in half horizontally right below the headstuds. That was on a sleeved block with 75.5mm Vitara pistons and stock valve size head.

We've made some pretty major changes to improve both power and reliability this year, with help from our sponsors. A huge thanks is owed to the following companies for helping out in a major way this year with the car.

Albins Performance Transmissions
Arias Pistons
Bisimoto Engineering
Competition Clutch
DG Machine
Golden Eagle MFG
NOS Energy

Our goal is to run low 9's at 160+mph this year, and keep the block from splitting again. :scared: That would be enough to make me happy!

To hopefully prevent the block from splitting again, we welded an aluminum plug into the factory threaded coolant plug hole where the crack originated from, and built a bracing system as added insurance.

The ATI Race Damper, thanks to Bisimoto!

Ready to come off the stand.

How do you guys like the crank scraper? I've thought a lot about getting one this summer but haven't actually seen one being used. Nice!

We put her on the dyno friday, here are the results off of wastegate which runs 15-19psi @ 7-10k rpm. Dotted line is last years Vitara piston motor at identical boost for comparison.

485whp/292tq @ 15-19psi

~100whp more at the same boost level as last years Vitara motor and carrying power out to 10K, We're very happy with that!

It made 501whp/302tq with 1 more psi of boost. So it took 20psi to hit the 500 mark. Close enough to the goal of 500whp @ 19psi !

After we pulled her off the dyno we put some street shoes on her and took a few pics:

Its hard to tell yet. My guess is it helps alot with the fact that we are using 20-50 oil

Mmm, yea, I guess that it would probably help you quite a bit more than it would me
pouring that oil into the motor was scary...its like pouring maple syrup

nicely done sir. im gonna follow this and best of luck with the up coming season.
Thanks, if the weather holds out I believe we are going to try to do a test and tune this coming friday. Our first real event is May 7th. Its closer than we need it to be
