VOTE: Who wants Lounge posts to count....

The title says it all:

Make sure you vote and lets see if the people can make a difference. Im sure there are MUCH better ways to eliminate people from the sections they arent supposed to be in. The lounge IMHO is what makes this site as friendly as it is. You have OG's from 2003 not being able to get into VIP, not able to sell items etc etc.

So basically, what this rule accomplishes is making post whores or n00bers dilute the tech threads to get the post count, great job men in blue.

Be sure to VOTE and post your REASONS on why it should still count or not count....

Gee I'll bet good money says this thread gets closed too......

plenty of posts in the lounge have been given way more info/advice about cars than random posts in the n00b lounge welcoming and telling people to use the search button. and yet those count. i don;t see why lounge posts shouldn't count.
posts in the lounge add just as much to the site, if not more, then posts in other areas

A POST COUNT SHOULD BE AN ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF HOW MUCH SOMEONE POSTS OVERALL, not just in certain places.

there is a difference between posting in the lounge and whoring.
the lounge is where all of the threads that don't have to do with civics usually end up, but that doesn;t mean they shouldn;t count.
whoring should be warned and then banned where as needed

total agreance from me on this, this is a car site, the lounge is the least of our worries, and so should the post count, if peeps lost counts then oh-well, become a active member of the other sections by helping those car oreinted members who want to learn about cars, and if other sections get whored then those that do it will be taken care of properly.

I dont care about my post count, (although I am aware nearly 6000 posts have been taken awayfrom me just b/c i post in the lounge).

Its not the count as i said in my original post, its what it did to people that already EARNED a ghey VIP spot, and now they dont. The LEAST you could do is grandfather people in that earned it. But wait let me guess, you blue f**ks never thought about that................ SHOCK.

thats cool man, i guess its YOUR job, and if you want to make it more difficult for yourself and the other blue people (that are INFUCKINGVISIBLE, which is a completely different issue I am concerned about), i guess thats your weak choice.

So to sum up, you removed lounge posts from counting, this eliminating MANY OGs from the 'worthless' VIP section, make post whores whore up the threads you WANT good information in, and get even more people hating on this site......... Id say that was a good move.

Something needs to be done. I've been here for over a year and now suddenly I can't get into VIP! Why? Because I only post when I have something that actually adds value to a thread. I don't bother replying to a thread to say werd, that's rice, boo jdm, slam that, or any of the many other assinine posts that dilute the intelligence levels of most threads.

I mean there was whoring and stupid threads started in the lounge yes, but do you think whoring was THAT big of a problem that you needed to make such a rash move? Do you think whoring was the main reason for starting threads? Do you think they WONT post that dumb ass thread b/c it wont count towards their post count????? Come on, there are only a rare few people on here that really care about post count and s**t after they get into VIP.....and THAT is where the mods come in to save the day.

I simply dont accept the 'token' reason i saw b/c it really doesnt solve anything. And in fact it may have made it worse.
