VTEC on a stock civic ex ???

yo i got a stock 2000 2 door Civic EX Manual and i dont know if it has any VTEC ? im confused?

If your car still has the stock D16Y8 motor, then yes you have VTEC.

You have sohc vtec in your ex...it's not going to be very noticable but it's there.

The d16y8 is the motor, a sohc vtec, that comes stock in the 6th gen ex. That's what you have, unless someone else swapped a different motor in, which I doubt.

i think hes referring to your engine oil. and vtec should kick it at 5500 all stock, i gurantee you if you put and intake on your car you will hear the vtec cross over for sure
