I believe it's a ecu from a 93 dx

Well to my knowledge it has a y7 head and a 15b bottom. Other than that I don't know what's been added or anything. That's the hard part.

Recently cleaned it. I jumped the connector about a week ago and it gave me a steady engine light on. Says it's the ecu but I bought the ecu in February. Maybe there's a short or something between the fuel and ecu. ??

I switched the pump relay and fuel pump about two years ago but I had another car so I didn't really use it til January.

Ok. I'll look into it. I can be at a steady 3000 rpms for a bit then out of no where it'll start slowing down alone. Then I'll let it slow down a bit and down shift a gear or two then it'll run good again.

Na there isn't a check engine light on surprisingly. Wish there would be so it could be easier to diagnose.

My car kind of sounds like popcorn sometimes from the muffler and at times the rpms will go all the way down and the car will die. And when I try to start it back at times it starts fine but every now and then the radio,lights,everything turns on except the car won't turn over. No idea where to...

Ok so found out I'm having a leak from water pump but my question is would i get a water pump for a 1993 civic or a d16y7 because that's the head that's in the car? And the bottom says d15b.

Well damn. I put in p2a-2 and I think it had said a del sol. I'll check again. And the "97" just means it's from 1997 correct? Just trying to make it reliable so I can make it to work and all that. D16y4?

I think the head gasket and more than likely the head itself needs to be repaired but when I bought the car 3 years ago they told me the engine was from a different year,just didn't remember. So if someone could help me identify what kind of head I got on so I can get another that would be great...

Na no gurgling or anything. Just air bubbles still in radiator. And sometimes the car will slow down then accelerate on its own. Or I have to put my foot all the way to the floor board. But I'm thinking that's the cause of something else. No gurgling though. Damn Could I just get another head...

That's what I'm thinking. I'm going to get a shop to look for any leaks but I'm almost 100 percent it's the head gasket. Just want to fix the problem before I warp a head or something.

Radiator and overflow tank were empty right now.

Would there be any other causes of air bubbles in the radiator besides a bad head gasket? Tried burping it for an hour and still had bubbles coming out. Just don't want to replace the gasket and my civic still overheat. I don't have any smoke,no coolant in oil or vice versa. Just want to be...

So now my car is doing the opposite as it was before. Before it would accelerate while my foot was on the gas pedal. Now,it accelerates while I'm pressing on the gas pedal but if I try to go a steady speed it just keeps on slowing down and losing rpms. Any help or info on where to look? Thank you

Hmm not necessarily a short drive but I do have to fill up a lot more frequent than when it use to run. I see a little bit of gas by the fuel rail sometimes. Was wondering if that might be the cause. I'm going to check the injectors tomorrow after work.

Would a leaking fuel injector maybe cause any of this??
