2003 civic HX
117 hp @6100 RPM
111 ft-lbs.@4500 RPM
curb weight: 2436 lbs.

2003 civic EX
127 hp @ 6300 RPM
117 ft-lbs.@ 4800 RPM
curb weight: 2555 lbs.

They are both 1.7 Liter engines, this comparison was done with both 2dr coupe. I assume the sedan is the same with the exception of curb weight.

since their both d17 blocks with the same displacement, # of valves, etc. i don't see a reason why the parts shouldnt be interchangeable

I think, you dont need the ECU, you can use s V-AFC, that will be fine.

But the thing is I dont know if this work worth...

Alright quick question for all of you out there a 01 civic ex sedan is it an es1 of es2 because if you look at the link that JERSEY8 posted it says that

ES1 1.7L USDM All 4-door DX/LX
ES2 D17A1 USDM All 4-door EX

Pay good attention to the Chassis Code and all of the engine sizes and to the valve train
