hey guys, question about stock rims or wheels..watever u call it.. i have 4 spare stock wheels w/out tires from a 2003 civic sedan..those are 15in..i was wondering if it'll fit only my 1995 civic sedan which are 14in stock rims..i think the tire size from the 03 rim are 185/?/15 ..and the 95 civic rim is 195/65/14 which is currenty on the car..

i'm looking into buying new tires so i thought i'd just get them for the 15in rim and have it mount on it..just want to know if it'll fit or not..

thanks

which brand do you guy use?? i mean even for winter..mostly M+S tire..i need a good all-season tire but seem like there are quite a few choices out there..falken, hankook, etc..i don't want expensive tire..i want something around $60 and under per tires..this is my DD, so winter factor in a lot..

thank..

I have Kuhmo Ecsta 711's 205/55/15 v88's on my E30 and on both my civics....they are really sticky tires, awesome in the rain and on dry. They do the trick for sure.

i've search and stock size is 185/65/15 ..
185/65/15 looks really bad IMHO.

Also i doubt you could even run a 65 series on a 15" rim in a honda without rubbing something in your fender well. I Beleive the correct size would be 195/50/15. because the progression goes. 175/70/13 (VX stock tire size), 185/60/14, 195/50/15 its as close to the same size as you can get.

Heres the site i used.http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

put 55 profile at the absolute BIGGEST on those 15s, but i reccomend 50s ..... the reason the stock tire size on the new civics is higher is cause they have more wheelwell than the 2000 and older

If your stock size is 195/65-14, 205/55-15 would be as close as you could get to your stock size.

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
195/65-14 5.0in 12.0in 24.0in 75.3in 841 0.0%
205/55-15 4.4in 11.9in 23.9in 75.0in 845 -0.4%

Speedometer reading with non-stock tire is 1.3% too fast.
When your speedo reads 60 mph, you are actually traveling 59.2 mph.
