i have an aftermarket deck in the factory location right above my heater controls on a 6th gen civic. i have this space right above my cup holders...i was curious if a deck would fit there and how easy it is to move.

It has been done MANY times before. You may want to use the SEARCH function provided here for details. I do not remember how hard it is.......

Yup, it's been done and there are pics somewhere. Just search.

i did what you are asking and it was really really really hard.... but that is because i put the stock one down there.. i had actually shave parts of the housing down to make it fit perfect..and aftermarket one would probably fit better..

the best setup to do is a dvd player in the lower one, and a flipout screen in the dash :thumbs up

Damn straight! =)

It's not hard at all if it's an aftermarket deck... it fits perfectly, for the most part. :D
