Help Identify Missing Part 97 Civic EX EJ8 1.6L

Just like the tittle says... I recently bought a 97 civic vtec but noticed there's a missing part and a wire exposed guessing it connects to something that connects to a metal tube like a dipstick but not... The picturew i uploaded is not from my vehicle but off a youtube video I came across but couldnt find another explaining what the parts name. Thanks in advance!

It's manual... not automatic. The one in the pic only shows a single one not the double that you mentioned. And it only has one wire that connects to that missing part in the video it also shows only one wire connected to it.. Thanks for the feedback

Nothing just for reference that it wasn't the a/t solenoid but thatnks, i guess problem solved lol... thanks I appreciate your time
