Finally found my cam to get ground. My y7 has y8 intake CA ,header, Aem afr, vafc. It ran strong till I got a little crazy and wound it
Up to like 8-9000- now it blows like a foghorn out of the valve cover. So I will do compression check but I know I burned or broke rings. So I was gonna pull the head and install p29 standard size with new rings and the 272. I am told I can install gauged fuel pressure regulator and get the fuel flow I need. My main question is, will the stock ECU throw codes after these mods- is there a hack? The car will be an antiquue next year and outside of emissions so I was thinking pull the offending pistons and re-ring for now and do the high compression cam thing next year when it doesn't need to pass inspection? Also, any advice on the build is appreciated. Thanks
