bent pipes are bent pipes, hose couplers are hose couplers

but some mandrel bent pipes, and some couplers.
or a welder

Mine cost like $35 shipped off eBay. Generic 2 piece intake so it can be either short ram or cold air. Then I spent $55 shipped on an AEM Dry Flow filter.

well i thought you could just buy some pvc pipe and a air filter and clamp them together but i wasnt sure if it would work on a civic

i'd rather just buy one cheap one off ebay, then make one, but i read stories bout people who make there own get more horsepower then they would from intakes like dc sports,aem places like them.

i was thinking cant i just leave the tubing from the stock intake and just rip off the box and connect a filter to the end of the stock tube??

K&N filter in stock box.
ebay pipe froom box to TB, and piece of pipe to behind bumper.

you can have an mufler shop make you a custom pipe for you intake, shouold be pretty cheap also

well i just bought a air filter and bought a rubber connector thing for plumbing and hooked it up...it looks real nice and sounds good...and it only cost $25...

i just took the resonator out and dropped in a k&n filter. i had a ebay short ram and the stock intake looks better IMO(doesnt look CHEAP), but im curious whats the purpose of having the short ram piping? is aluminum more resistant to heat?
