My Supercharged Taurus SHO

Since I posted my Civic in the other section, I thought I'd post my Taurus too=)

I bought this car back in '02 nearly stock. Since then I've been modifying it myself. I originally stayed NA and a near-stock appearance. when stock, it put down 185whp. After I modified it NA with a horrile tune, I pulled out 215whp. Last year, I added a Vortech T-trim at 9 PSI and put down 381whp. This year I have built a fully forged motor without overlooking anything. I'm shooting for 450-500whp now! I have videos of me racing another SC SHO and of me on road course at http://members.cardomain.com/yamahasho

Wow, that's actually really clean. Not the same can be said for most Tauruses.

I see you're from Colorado Springs. There is a guy up there that used to be an engineer for Ford that has a supercharged SHO with a motor built up just as much as mine, if not better (not running as much boost though). Here in Denver, we have 4 SC SHO's (one putting down 520whp - track car) and a remote-mount turbo SHO (my roommates).

I'm sure you'll hear more about them in the future considering CO is a great place to own a SHO!

I think Ford made like three of them, but they never were actual production models. I have a buddy in Texas making one right now. I believe someone else has also made one.
