How much oil is it? Vtec could be burning it

Not sure. But I got the car about two weeks about and the oil level was about mid way between the two holes on the dipstick. This past Friday I had a oil light and the dipstick was dry with the car at running temp.

what about your distributor o-ring? any oil sitting on top of the trans? I was having an oil issue and it was from that.

I checked that today. I remembered you had that issue but the tranny was dry. I did notice the wet spots on the underside of the engine but till I go by my friends shop to get the car on the lift I can't find out if I have a leak. He said I can come friday so till than I'm checking the oil level often to see if I notice a change. But I can smell oil burning from my exhaust if I drive hard.

Yea I took those out. I'm sure there's no way to make them light up but just something I thought of. Maybe I'll get a ep3 cluster in the future. That would go nice with a Kswap lol( keep dreaming)

I was like 'Where is this guy?" lol. I'm trying to get this car running perfect before I do anything else. I'm just taking it one day at a time man.

Lol do it! Haha it's good to have dreams. But an ep3 cluster would be sweet I think I've seen a 7th gen cluster on a 6th and it looked cool. Really different.

Clutch looks nice though. It's good that you're getting her running good before anything else!

Okay so this morning was frustrating. Here how it went. I had to stay at my fiancé house because she needed a ride to the beach at 6am( she's a life guard) on our way we stopped at DD to get her breakfast and my window goes off track "AGAIN". So I'm like "WTF" just my luck. Than it started to rain, so now I'm on the high way with a open window in pouring rain. After dropping her off I go to my dads house take the door panel off and fix the window. I go to start the car "NOTHING". I give it a jump with a spare battery "NOTHING". I get friends to help push the car down the street while I pop the clutch car starts then dies. "WTF" So I take out the battery and charge it. I go back to the car and look and I notice there is a nest under the fuse box.( like what was living in the engine bay) So I take out all the dirt,leaves and crap that was under it and cleaned the best I could. I inspect the harness and everything looks good no chewed wires. Then I said hey might as well go all out so I started taking s**t out like brackets that hold the harness and old clips etc. Here's some pictures

After charging the battery the car started right up so I'm adding a new battery on the list of things to replace. Keep in mind I did this like at 7am.

I am also going to try to remove the pin strips and de badge the CIVIC and EX emblems on the trunk today but I gotta find a hair dryer.

I have to find something to take the glue off that stuff it "TUFF". I'll go to autozone and pick something up to remove what's left unless someone has some tips.

Also how do I get rid of this gap


It's like that on the other side as well. Thats all I'm doing today, it's to hot to be outside anymore. Happy Independence Day to you all.

Yea I was shocked to find that. But now it's one less thing I have to worry about. I know it seems like I'm running into problems but I'm happy I'm finding them so they can be corrected. Sooner or later this car will be just as good as it was when it was on the lot.
