car ran perfect...160,000. pulling into my complex it boogged out like it ran out of gas. tried starting and it fired a little bit but nothing. then it wouldn't fire. turns over but no go. putting quick start in the intake in a minute to see if its fuel or spark. can hear fuel pump kick on and the check engine light stays off, no codes...any ideas? thinking fuel filter but that just the beginning.

Sounds like your dizzy's (distributor) crapping out on you.....Check for spark as per RonJhttp://www.hondacivicforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74362 ........and to the site....

allright no spark. quick start in the throttle body, no fire. gonna start with cap and rotor, then coil, distributor,etc. any hints? Honda man but never really messed with ignitions.

checked coil with a multi-meter. resistance between A and B terminal is 2.6. i was told it should be between .4-.6. so bad coil?

.6 - .8......so id say you have found the problem

it was the coil...first thing i would replace if your getting fuel but no spark. $23 shipped to my door, Ebay
