99 hx smokes

i have a 99 civic hx it just started to smoke when hard accelerating, i also noticed black build up on my bumper. i go through about a quart of oil a week, i do have a slight oil leak, but not that bad. i did a compression check and all the cylinders were about 175 psi, what else could be causing this.

i say stop accelerating so hard, drive it normal, and it could be alot of things.

i don't drive hard but when i want to pass a truck on the highway or when there's a grandma in front of me i have to accelerate that's when it happens

if you are burning oil and still have good compression, chances are your valve guide seals are bad.

try a leak down test, also your egr could be seriously clogged as they are known to do so, i have a 97 hx , i feel your pain

thanks guys i just bought pcv because a friend said that it could be bad but the egr would do the same thing
