Bad gas mileage

Okay so I filled up the other night and put in 8.709 gallons at 187 miles. I'm now having to warm my car up every morning from this bitter cold Ohio weather! Most of the driving was around town and twice I went 20 miles out of town to another so a total of 80 miles just there in those trips

Rural driving sounds similar to highway driving, so 31 mpg in this case sounds normal.
I wouldn't say so, hilly terrain, 55mph about half the trip, with 5 stops and having to warm the car up 15 mins before I leave.

Must remember you get zero mpg warming your car up. Warming it up 20 minutes a day every day of the week until you fill up next time has probably used close to a gallon of fuel (just estimating here)
