Best tire size for 15" rims?

So the 16" slipstreams I was looking at were sold but I found a guy selling 99-00 Si rims. The problem is that I have the factory 15" steelies w/ its hub caps on and the tires look real thick and ugly. Since the 99-00 si's are 15" as well, would I be able to get thinner tires or will it have the same thick look?

It will have the same look. You can get 195/50's which have a 0.4" shorter sidewall than 195/55. I would personally recommend 16" wheels for an 01+ civic. 15" is way too small.

i think you could go a bit smaller on the si rims, i dont remember the exact tire and make, keep serching.
