Ok I dont have any pics but it is not that hard to do. I cant see to well behind me at night when I back up because of the tint on my windows so I thought up this.

You need some wire about 14 in long, 12 or 16 ga will do.
The tools needed are a wire stripper, and black tape and/or wire nuts.

Frist remove the neg battery cable and cut the 14 in wire in two and stripe the ends.

Second remove taillight covers form inside the trunk then remove the turn signal blub and strip the + wire, on mine it was green but it may be different because they have been rewired but their is only two wires one should be black(-) and any color(+), and same with the reverse bulb and wire

Third connet the 7 in wire to the trun signal bulb wires with wire nut and then warp them with black tape, same to the reverse light blub wires, repeat on other side, and reconnet the neg battery cable.

Cheak your work, if you hooked up it right when you put your car in reverse the turn signal lights should light up with the reverse lights and stay on (dont blink) and when the you turn on your blinker the reverse light should light up (blink as well)

Ok this was done on a 95 civic but may work on others, I also have the red/clear taillights so this looks better. If you do this and f**k it up its not because of me it was you that did it!

Do your self a favor don't use wire nuts. Just solder the wires together.

Are your side windows really so dark that you cant see or are you one of those people who have to look out their back window? LED bulbs are the way to go but up here in the middle of nowhere they charge a fortune for those things and they are hard to find.

Hello BBP

I read some of your DIYs and found them really very helpful. It seems that you are really good at keeping your Civic in top shape. I am also a Civic owner in Toronto and i have a 99 EX sedan. I was wondering if i can ask u a few questions:

I am looking for dual halo projector lenses. I can see that you have them on ur car...are they reliable...i have read good and bad opinions about them...but maybe you can tell me if they are really worth it? Which brand you have and where did you buy them from?

Secondly...i read you have LEDs also. Is it safe to install them in headlamp for the turn signal.....?

Any suggestions would be helpful....Thanks

Salman

Other sites also where you can buy online - http://niceledlights.com
I think this is one of the oldest threads I've seen bumped ever. 6 years and 4 months? DAMN!

Do some reading on hidplanet.com for those that are interested in buying eBay LED's. Apparently they are made from cheap parts. So while they may be bright, they don't have the quality of more expensive or even custom LED's. Just like any other eBay part, some people swear by them, some people hate them. But if you want quality LED's that provide the most lumens and color, your best option is to build your own. 1 of the knowledgeable guys on there priced out all the parts for me and it's about $10-$15 for all the parts to build 1 LED.
