Car won't start after swapping cluster

Yes, but testing the alternator in the car is best as it also tests the alternator circuit.

But understand that when fuse 15 is blown, as yours was, the alternator cannot working. That's where you should focus with regard to the charging system.

Did you test, charge, or replace the battery?

I still havent had chance to have it tested since I have to work the whole weekend. I'll let you know when I'm able to get it to autozone this Monday.

Ok, so I had my battery tested by autozone and it ended up bad battery. I replaced the battery. Now the hazard light works but when I turn it on, the temp gauge's needle keep jumping. And the battery light is the only thing that works on the cluster. There's no light on cluster, signal does not work, and none of the gauge works. At least I can start the car now. Should I check the wiring or are there other blown fuses?

I checked and replaced meter fuse and signal light fuse. The rest are good. However, the tach, fuel gauge, and temp gauge are not stable, they keep jumping sometimes. The signal lights work but the signal indicators on the cluster both light up when I turn on either left/right signal. The hazard light used to work perfectly before so it must be the wiring that is bad.

All fuses are good. I got the cluster light now. However, fuel gauge, temp gauge, and signal are still messed up.

Finally, everything is working properly now. I ended up rewiring the ground wire in one of the connector of the cluster.
Thanks RonJ for helping me all the time. Really appreciate it.
