Clunk noise while braking

92 Si hatch
B16B
S21 Transmission
B16A intermediate shaft

Under only braking conditions I hear a solid "thump" from the front end... can't tell if it's central or on a side, but I'll be listening for it...

Would a bad CV cause this?
Bad rear mount?
Tie rods (inner + outer)?

Any tips on locating the source with the car in the air?

Front lower control arm bushings. Civic are known for this. Had to do mine, if you can I recommend polyurethane replacements.
